Privacy policy

BellRung is an app for Freshdesk that sends Slack alerts before a ticket breaches its SLA. This policy explains what data the app handles, what we receive as its vendor and how to reach us. "We" means Sergii Khomenko, a sole proprietor registered in Ukraine.
In short
BellRung runs on the Freshworks platform. It keeps its data in the Freshworks data store of your installation and sends alerts to your own Slack workspace. Clicks on Slack buttons pass through our relay on Cloudflare, which stores nothing. BellRung and this website have no analytics and set no cookies.
What BellRung stores
- Your rules and working hours: the Slack channel names and the emails of Slack users that you type, and the Slack IDs that BellRung finds for them.
- For each ticket that BellRung follows: the ticket number, subject, status, priority, tags, due times and requester name, the alerts that it sent, and the name and ID of each person who acknowledged them.
- The address that routes Slack button clicks to your installation, encrypted so that only our relay can read it.
This data stays in the Freshworks data store of your installation while BellRung is installed. Records that stop duplicate alerts expire after 30 days. When you uninstall BellRung, the Freshworks platform deletes all of its data.
What BellRung sends to Slack
Each alert carries the ticket number, subject, priority, requester name, due time and a link to the ticket. An acknowledged alert also shows the name of the agent. BellRung sends the emails from your rules to Slack only to find the Slack user. BellRung cannot read your Slack channels or messages. The messages that it posted stay in your Slack workspace after you uninstall it.
The relay
Slack sends each click on an Acknowledge button to our relay on Cloudflare Workers. The relay checks the Slack signature, forwards the click to your installation and stores nothing. Its log keeps one line per request, without the content of the request.
Logs
BellRung writes event names, times, IDs and SLA fields to the app log of the Freshworks platform. It writes no ticket subjects, message text, names of people or emails.
What we receive from Freshworks
Freshworks handles the subscription and the billing. If Freshworks shares details of your account with us as the vendor of the app, we use them only for billing questions and support.
Support
When you write to us, we keep the conversation to help you. Ask us, and we will delete it.
Who processes data
- Freshworks runs BellRung and bills the subscription: Freshworks Privacy Notice.
- Slack receives the alerts in your own workspace: Slack Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare runs the relay and hosts this website: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- jsDelivr delivers the Freshworks interface library to the browsers of your agents and receives their IP addresses.
- Our email provider stores support emails.
We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone else.
Data outside your region
Slack keeps data in the United States unless your workspace uses Slack data residency. Cloudflare handles relay requests in its global network.
Legal basis
We handle subscription and support data to provide the app you bought (performance of a contract), and app logs to keep BellRung working (our legitimate interest in fixing faults).
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to us and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
